Serena Williams will be sitting out of competition for a few weeks but the world no.1 said she will be back to the tennis court for the Toray Pan Pacific. The tournament is played on September 26.
The American is recovering from a foot surgery. The Toray Pan Pacific is played in Tokyo and currently features eight of the top 10 players in the WTA Tour ranking.
Defending and two-time champ Maria Sharapova, Vera Zvonareva, Francesca Schiavone, Caroline Wozniacki, and Jelena Jankovic have so far entered the event.
