In 2008, Roger Federer withdrew from the Stockholm Open at the last minute and he did not play last year. This year, the Swiss is making it up to crowds at the tournament.
The world no. 2 has entered the tournament this year.
"I was supposed to play two years ago but my schedule was too tough. This year I have organized a better schedule which means that I will be well prepared...I keep my promises," Federer said.
Hometown boy Robin Soderling will of course be playing as well as Wimbledon finalist Tomas Berdych.
