Good news from Ana Ivanovic's camp today. The former French Open champ is looking to return to New Haven next week to prepare for the US Open.
Ivanovic injured her ankle last week in Cincinnati but posted on her website she is getting better and hopes to be back by next week.
"I had almost non-stop icing for two days, to prevent swelling. My ankle has reacted quite well to the treatment and I still hope to play in New Haven next week," Ivanovic posted on her website. ""It’s going to be touch and go, but fingers crossed.
I’m in close contact with doctors, my new physio is doing a great job and together we are doing everything we can to be back on the court as quickly as possible, without taking any risks."
