Kim Clijsters sustained the hip injury a couple of weeks ago in her loss to Vera Zvonareva in Montreal. But fear not because the defending US Open champ said she will be ready for her title defend next week.
"I am in no doubt over my participation in the US Open," she said. "I will likely have some strapping on my leg but that does not mean that I will not be at full fitness."
The US Open has already lost Justine Henin and Serena Williams, two big names, so far...at this moment.
