With Venus Williams and Samantha Stosur already out of Cincinnati this week, Jelena Jankovic has been made top seed at the tournament. Sadly, the Serb is also going through a lingering ankle injury so she might have to pull out of the tournament.
Even if Jankovic were to play, there is a high possibility of her pulling out injured in one of her matches. This is not good news for the tournament, but they still have a nice list of players competing.
