The first round of the Madrid Open for the women have not been too kind. Already out of the tournament include Justine Henin, Maria Sharapova, and Svetlana Kuznetsova.
It has been a good week with Henin saying she is not 100% healthy and Sharapova making a comeback that didn't last long. Kuznetsova is of course still going through some kind of mid-life crisis with her tennis.
Venus Williams survived, but retiree Victoria Azarenka once again give the fans something to wonder about with another retirement in her first round match.
The WTA Tour ladies are having a day out, too bad it is not a shopping day.
