Ana Ivanovic, the 2008 French Open champ, got a shocker from the 28th seed, Alisa Kleybanova today. The Serb got trashed, 6-3, 6-0.
This is not a surprising loss, though, the bagel set is a bit out of the air. Ivanovic is slowly regaining her confidence thus far this year, but Kleybanova is a heavy hitter, and not to mention, a much better server than Ivanovic.
On the same note, veteran Kimiko Date Krumm said her fairytale quickly ended on at the hands of Jarmila Groth. The Australia knocked out Krumm with a 6-0, 6-3, victory.
Krumm knocked off Dinara Safina two days ago.
