French Open Goes Under Water

For the second day in the row, matches are being delayed or push back due to the rain. It is almost 4pm in Paris as I'm writing this piece.

What is more annoying about this, beside from the fact that none of the courts has a roof over it, is there are no lights on the court. When the organizers pissed off Fabio Fognini yesterday, it just made me wonder what they are thinking.

I don't think Wimbledon has lights on the courts either, but at least now they have a roof. French Open has neither and if I were Fognini, I would be pissed too.

Fognini and Gael Monfils were playing in complete darkness when their match got halted, even though Fognini had stopped play way before the official stopped the match.

Instead of increasing prize money, I would suggest saving the money to get some lights on the court.
