Justine Henin and Ruben Bemelmans were ready to head out of Perth when they heard the news of Serbia withdrawing. Ana Ivanovic had some kind of an injury so Novak Djokovic couldn't play by himself.
With Serbia withdrawing from the final, Belgium took the spot. They will be playing against the USA for the championships.
USA won against Britain, 2-1, while Franseca Schiavone had to retire from her match with a groin injury against France's Kristina Mladenovic. With both the doubles matches cancelled, US and France played each other in an exhibition set for the crowds.
Ivanovic also had withdrawn from Sydney.
