Russian and former world no.1 Dinara Safina is working hard to get back on top of the tennis world, but she is hitting a roadblock so far in her comeback. Safina had serious back injury last year and missed most of 2010.
She came back late last year but did not win a single match she played. The new year is not any better for the Russian.
Marion Bartoli easily swept Safina aside yesterday in their first round match. The Frenchwoman won, 6-0, 6-1.
Safina also lost in the first round last week to Yanina Wickmayer in New Zealand, but that was a tough three setter.
