There will not be a Federer vs. Nadal's final in Doha thanks in part to Nikolay Davydenko who put that expected final to an erupted end after the Russian dropped an ill-looking Rafael Nadal.
While Roger Federer survived Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in straight set, Nadal looked tired and sluggished, and at time overpowered by Davydenko. Nadal said he had been sick all week.
Davydenko knocked off the top seed in straight sets. Nadal staged a comeback in the second set down 5-0.
He went up 3-5 and had 0-40 on the Russian's serve but Davydenko pulled it back and won the second set 6-3.
