Even though Juan MD Potro lost last night to Marcos Baghdatis, the Argentine is not feeling all to bad. Considering a year ago he got injured here and could not play much for the rest of the 2010 season, Del Potro took some positives out of his loss.
“It’s very tough. I’m still improving,” del Potro said, adding that he played better than he had last week in Sydney, his comeback tournament where he exited in the second round. “I think that’s positive for the next tournament.”
Even though the 2009 US Open champ lost, I think he played well and should be a major contender after his wrist gets better. The year is still long and he will only improve.
Del Potro’s serve only got up to 128mph, which is a little off his usual serve. Too many unforced errors also did him in.
