Looks just Justine Henin just threw in something new on her serve. I was watching her match against Elena Baltacha last night and thanks to Martina Navratilova, I, too, noticed that Henin’s serve is differently.
If you watch video from Henin’s matches before, she usually served with her feet apart when she jumps up. Now, as she jumps up, her feet are together.
So far, it looks as though her new technique is working pretty well. She only had three double faults in the match yesterday.
With a clash with Svetlana Kuznetsova next, Henin will hope the new serve will help her power her way through the win. Kuznetsova has been struggling lately too so that might be another advantage to the Belgian.
